Sweet Millet pudding (8-10 months)


The study, “The Lost Crops of Africa,” published by the United States National Academies sees finger millet as a potential “super cereal” and points out that “the world’s attitude towards finger millet must be reversed. Of all major cereals, this crop is one of the most nutritious.” The study notes that people in Uganda and southern Sudan have healthy, strapping physiques despite eating just one meal a day, and attributes this to finger millet.No time to prepare this ?Look out home made ceralc


Ingredients

Finger millet flour/ragi flour - 1 cup
Crushed cardomon- 1 spoon
Water - 10 spoons
Salt to taste - a pinch
jaggery/Sugar syrup -1/2 cup
Melted Ghee -1 spoon
Grated coconut-1 cup

Preparation -1

1.Take a cloth cover ragi/Millet flour by spraying water

2.Allow it to cook in steam for for 10-15 minutes

3.Once its done .Transfer to a bowl which is coated with melted ghee

4.Mix cardomom,grated coconut and grated jaggery/ sugar syrup

5.Again allow it be in steam for 10 minutes

6.Now serve delicious millet puddings for your kids...
